As quick to prepare as Usain Bolt on 200m, as moist as Michael Phelbs after a race, almost as light as Simone Biles on the floor routine… Golden medals can also be in the form of apple cakes ! Aka gâteau Anna.
- 200g sugar
- 200g flour
- 4 eggs
- 80g butter
- 1 yeast bag
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 apples ( or pears, or apricots… )
Beat the eggs one by one in the sugar. Add gradually the flour, mixing well to avoid lumps. Throw in the yeast and mix again.
Melt the butter and blend it in the mix.
Peal and slice thinly the apples. Do prepare them last minute so they don’t oxidise.
Grease the mold, pour half of the dough, then place the apple slices nicely all around, pour the rest of the dough over the slices. Make a decor of apple slices on the top of the cake. Don’t be stingy on fruits as they’ll give taste and softness to this cake.
Bake for 20 to 25 minute at 165 degrees
Bon appétit !
